For over 30 years, Maryland Correctional Enterprises (MCE) has partnered with Bea Gaddy Family Centers, a nonprofit community based organization that assists its neighbors with food and other items, in a continued effort to help feed those in need in the Greater Baltimore area.

For over 25 years, MCE has partnered with Bea Gaddy Family Centers to help feed those in need in the Greater Baltimore area. Annually, MCE participants debone and cook turkeys in preparation for Thanksgiving dinner hosted by Bea Gaddy for families in need.

For over 25 years, Maryland Correctional Enterprises' parternship with Bea Gaddy Family Centers helped feed those in need in the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan area. Bea Gaddy, a name many in Baltimore are familiar with, was not only a Baltimore City Council Member but an advocate for those in need. This partnership is part of the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Service's restorative justice project -- giving individuals the opportunity to give back to the community.

MCE helps Bea Gaddy with Thanksgiving feast

MCE’s inmate participants from the Hagerstown Meat Plant have been preparing turkeys for Baltimore’s Bea Gaddy Thanksgiving Dinner for over 30 years. Despite the pandemic, we are still doing our part to make this commendable community event happen by cooking 200 turkeys that will be distributed to those in need.
